A trip to the Children's Museum

Today my friend Teresa and I took the boys to the Children's Museum to see their new exhibit Raise the Roof. It was all about buildings, and was really neat!! The kids had a blast!

Checking out the Mongolian Tent (though D really liked it for the monitor he could push buttons on without hurting anything)

Then he found the microphone that amplified his voice to show how different types of rooms amplify sounds, LOVED that...

Magnets!

And back to the Mongolian Tent to push more buttons

This thing mimicked an earthquake

Uh oh, J found the mic...

lol He had to push his cap up to see in this...

A drive by look...such attitude...I can SO see that look on him as a teenager! :(

Uhh boys, those are drumsticks...

There ya go, D...build, baby, build...

Still not drumsticks, J...sorry...

Building with toothpicks and marshmallows!!! (Fortunately, they purposely had them kinda stale...lol so the boys weren't chowing down)

Fascinated by a video of buildings being demolished

They went from up "here" to way down low...

Silly faces while eating breakfast there

And a smile!

I was tryin to get a pic of D and I, and D was looking at a chick who came to stand in front of us, turns out, she's a DAM'er too!!! lol What a small world, I'm so glad she came and said hi!

Back to playing for a bit...D's tryna get J to jump...

Back to the earthquake machine

J posing...

"NOOOOO, DDDDDDD, I'm tryna pose!! Don't come through this doorway!!!" Yeah D made it through...lol poor J...it was about time to go anyway...the boys were gettin TIRED.

Biker babeeeeeeee

I have some exciting news to report!

D's riding a bike!!!

Ok, it has training wheels, and he does lose his momentum a LOT and needs a little push, anddddd his feet slip off the pedals a lot. But he can do it!!! I can't believe it!! I chased him up and down the alley for forever today. Yeah, don't let him get on a slight downhill slope or he is GONE...lol THAT was some running...but he did awesome with little pushes every now and then going back up the alley.

I was really afraid for awhile that he wouldn't be able to with his midline neurological issues. I swear, NEVER put this kid in a box, he will prove you wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME. When he was born, with the issues he had, they didn't know if he'd ever be able to even walk or talk. But look at him now!!!

I am so kicking myself too that I didn't take any pictures or video of it, but I'll get him back out there soon so I can update this with some cool pics.

So...D has a purse...

Yes, he does.

He loves this purse.

As you can see...

But he's still all boy. How do I know this? Well, if you peek inside that purse??

Its full of his Hot Wheels and small trains. That's my boy.

The next phase of our roadtrip

On January 2nd we left Oklahoma City and headed to somewhere in the middle of nowhere southernish Missouri to visit one of my bestest friends Melissa and her family. We had such a fun time hanging out. D and Melissa's daughter got along fabulously! They did a lot of wrestling and goofing off too. We headed home on Jan 4th, and while it was quite a long trip home, we survived it, and are safely at home.

We took the kids to the park since it was a nice day outside, albeit windy as all get out...

Uhhhh...whatcha doin there, Melissa??? (Disclaimer: No children were harmed in the taking of these pictures)

After the chirren were in bed, Melissa fixed my hair...I think it looked cute! I may never take the time to do it myself, but there's hope...that style requires no hairspray at ALL, no product...so its doable...

After church on Sunday, the kids spent forever playing "horsie" and wrestling some more...
